JOHN BIRBARI, M.D. is a general surgeon who practices at Harris Methodist, Baylor All Saints, and several smaller facilities in downtown Fort Worth. A native Texan, Dr. Birbari joined Texas Health Care following completion of his surgical residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Birbari received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Baylor University and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio.
He has particular interest in endocrine and cancer surgery in addition to broad-based general surgery. He employs the most up-to-date minimally invasive techniques (including DaVinci robotic assisted and “single site” laparoscopy) to promote faster healing and recovery with shorter hospital stays and less pain and scarring. Dr. Birbari enjoys the ability to care for a broad range of surgical problems that confront people across all age groups. He works with other physicians in the community to provide multidisciplinary care, improving outcomes and the patient experience.
In his free time, Dr. Birbari enjoys spending time outside with his wife, Lori, and their four children. He also enjoys hunting, fishing and woodworking. He speaks fluent Spanish and is happy to see new patients.
